Jeb Dunnuck (95)Beautiful black cherry, graphite, roasted herb, and cedar pencil notes emerge from the 2019 Château Haut Brisson, an incredibly well-balanced, elegant, finesse-driven Saint-Emilion that brings beautiful richness and depth. It might be the finest wine I've tasted from this estate, and while it already offers pleasure, it will benefit from 4-5 years of bottle age and cruise for a solid two decades. It's impressive. |

Bordeaux | 11 | 91-92 (JS) | $173.00 | |||||
James Suckling (91-92)Tiny production here, because of frost in May, but the wine came out nice and clean, with pretty balance and mouth-feel and plenty of dark fruit and spices. Slightly dry on the finish now, but should come around nicely with the elevage. |

James Suckling (95-96)Another very focused 2023 St.-Emilion with berry, chocolate and earth notes. It’s medium- to full-bodied with a solid core of fruit and a bright, vivid and very long finish. Well-integrated tannins. This is one to watch. 95% merlot and 5% cabernet franc. Better than 2022. |
