Vinous (91)
Reticent aromas of crushed stone and menthol. Tactile and perfumed in the mouth; a step up in concentration and grip from the Vireuils. Flavors of lime skin and hazelnut are nicely lifted by a floral element. Plenty of texture and sweetness here. Finishes with lovely persistence. Roulot prefers the 2004 vintage to 2005, but not for this wine, as the normally high acidity here favored the '05.$6,700.00 -

The 2009 Meursault Meix Chevaux literally covers the palate with fruit. This is another stunning wine at the village level. Slate, crushed rocks and all things mienrall buffer the fruit in this complex, multi-dimensional wine. The sheer purity here is striking.$2,100.00 -
Vinous (91)
(like the Vireuils and Luchets, this parcel faces northeast): Pale yellow. More citrussy and tight on the nose than the Vireuils. Conveys a sweeter impression but with lovely acidity to give shape and grip to the rich citrus, stone fruit and floral flavors. This tactile, rather gripping wine delivers a strong impression of dry extract. Finishes with a slightly tannic quality and classic dryness. This calls for some bottle aging.$410.00 -

Vinous (92)
The 2019 Meursault Meix Chavaux has a very crisp, almost Puligny-like bouquet, mineral-driven, a little austere compared to the Les Vireuils. The palate is well balanced with orange pith and touches of yellow plum, lightly spiced with a satisfying edginess towards the persistent finish. Long and lasting on the aftertaste with a precision that for me, puts it on a level above the Les Vireuils. Excellent.$657.00 -
Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (91-93)
Picked on 27th August, 13.0% alcohol, 4.30TA and 3.24pH. More lemon than lime in the colour. There is more weight of fruit here, more of a golden glow through the middle, with a citrus streak to finish. Graceful as much as generous. Pleasing finish on sweet lemon fruit.$2,260.00 -

Classic Meursault aromas of soft citrus fruits and hazelnut. Rich, sweet and suave, with soft citrus fruit, lemon, hazelnut and vanilla flavors supported by a solid stony backbone. Conveys an impression of volume without any undue weight. A textbook Meursault with lovely persistence. The 2009 Meursault Les Tessons – Cuvee de Mon Plaisir is another of the riper, rounder wines in this lineup. It shows marvelous integrity and persistence all the way through to the creamy finish. Some of the tautness and minerality of the best wines is missing, but in exchange readers will be rewarded with an open, supple Meursault that will deliver immense pleasure with a minimum of cellaring. Anticipated maturity: 2013+.$1,915.00 -
Vinous (92)
A statuesque Burgundy, the 2011 Meursault Les Tessons Clos de Mon Plaisir is all class. Nothing in particular stands out, so impeccable is the wine's balance. The depth and intensity of the fruit is apparent, but readers will have to give the 2011 at least another year or two before the elements start to truly come together. The 2011 is impressive for its depth and stuffing.$2,065.00 -

Ripe stone fruits, lemon and lime on the bright nose and palate. Juicy, sappy and light on its feet, conveying terrific energy and inner-mouth definition. (the crop level here was about 33 hectoliters per hectare, similar to the Tillets): Bright light yellow. Aromas of mandarin orange, spices and flowers. Green-tinged yellow. Piquant lime zest and mineral aromas. Lively and sharply delineated but also displays excellent depth and salty minerality, with its limey acidity giving it a compellingly juicy character. Finishes tactile and long. Lots of potential here. These vines, planted between 1958 and 1962, produced just under 30 hectoliters per hectare in 2016, which assistant Baudin described as not a disaster in terms of yield in 2016. He noted that the wine Roulot makes from this favored site is typically between the estate's lieux-dits and premier crus in quality. (By the way, Roulot pulled up his Meursault Les Tillets for replanting after the 2015 harvest.)$419.00 -

Slightly reduced flinty nose. Then richer and lower in acidity than the Meix Chavaux, with an early harmoniousness to the flavors of yellow fruits and orange. Fleshy more than really fat, in a typical Roulot way. Finishes with lovely persistence. Half of these vines are 50 years old.$433.00 -

Musky, complex aromas of citrus peel, stone and hazelnut. Juicy, pure and light on its feet, with pronounced minerality giving the wine a distinctly high pitch. Finishes with noteworthy persistence. A terrible hailstorm on the north side of the village cut yields but did not affect quality, said Roulot, as the affected grapes dried out and fell off the vines.$419.00 -
(6x75cl) 2013Wine Advocate (92)
The 2013 Meursault Luchets has a wonderful chalky, limestone-scented bouquet that is very detailed and poised, perhaps more conservative than the Meix Chavaux but with laser-like precision. The palate is fresh and crisp with fine tension, quite saline in the mouth, gently building toward a very intense, almost Puligny-like finish. It does not quite have the length of the Meux Chavaux but there is real presence in the mouth.$3,415.00
