Fortunate Son
About Fortunate Son
Since its debut vintage in 2000 with the Kayli Morgan single vineyard bottling, Napa legend Hundred Acre has risen to be known as one of top producers in the whole of California earning them true cult status and assuring fierce demand for their wines. A fair amount of this fierce demand has come on the back of the incredible praise this estate has received from the world’s foremost critic, Robert Parker.
With Hundred Acre established as one of Napa’s most sought-after producers, winemaker Jayson Woodbridge has set about a sibling project named Fortunate Son from which we’re delighted to be able to offer the 2018s today.
Some of the fruit for the Fortunate Son cuvées comes from Hundred Acre vineyards themselves whilst the balanced in sourced by Woodbridge from some selected family-owned vineyards in Napa Valley. In addition, Woodbridge has purchased the David Fulton winery & vineyard in St. Helena which will become a dedicated winery for the Fortunate Son wines.
