Vinous (90-92)
The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Seuvrées, which includes 20% whole bunch, has a well-defined bouquet of perfumed cranberry and raspberry fruit, undergrowth and light black pepper aromas. The palate is well balanced and quite pure in style, hints of blue fruit intermingling with red toward the lightly spiced, nuanced finish. Give it a couple of years in bottle and it will turn into a fine Gevrey to drink over 12–15 years.$671.00 -

One third whole bunch, no new wood. 13% as finished wine, picked at 12.5%. An even, crimson purple, the nose is quite gentle, but the fruit grows well behind, strawberry aromas with a savoury touch, good acidity and very persistent. A success. Tasted: December 2021$1,080.00 -
Vinous (85-87)
The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Seuvrées has a light nose with airy red fruit, quite tertiary in style, well defined if missing a bit of intensity. The palate is nicely poised on the entry, with crisp and slightly brittle tannins and fine acidity. It needs to develop more matière on the finish as it come across a little "skinny" at the moment. I feel that this is a cuvée that might have benefitted from some de-stemming.$939.00 -

20% new wood. A deep purple centre with bright rim. Classical pinot, perhaps more raspberry and cherry rather than the strawberry often found in this part of the appellation. A sweet intensity of fruit in the same register as the bouquet, with fine tannins, good acidity and length. Drink from 2028-2033. Tasted Nov 2024.$708.00
