Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux
Established in 1858, Arnoux-Lachaux is a family affair. Pascal Lachaux (son-in-law of the late Robert Arnoux) is the fifth generation making wine at this Domaine, which has significant grand Cru holdings. he is now working in the winery with his son Charles who has joined him after working in wine regions in New Zealand, South Africa and Oregon.
The Domaine’s wine has always been good but its quality and reputation are sharply rising. A new winery, cellar upgrade and acquisition of a parcel of the Grand Cru Latricieres Chambertin have all contributed.

Plush in texture but more restrained than the wines that were already in tank. The fruit is here a bit more medicinal and minty and less sweet at this stage. A bit less deep in color than the Chaumes, perhaps simply a matter of the more recent sulfuring. Raspberry, exotic spices and a hint of blood orange on the nose; seems a bit more evolved than the Chaumes. Then suave and silky in the mouth, with lovely delicacy in the middle palate and a slowly mounting finish culminating in a whiplash of flavor. This seems almost ready to bottle.$400.00 -
