The NV (2017) Brut Nature Amplitude is 100% Chardonnay from old vines in Vrigny and Janvry. It is also one of the most impressive wines I have tasted from Lamblot. There's terrific energy and plenty of cut, not to mention tons of character. Readers should find a powerful, broad Champagne built on textural richness and saline-infused vibrancy. The 2017 finishes with real palate-staining intensity. The style is a bit rustic and assertive, but it all works. Disgorged: February 7, 2022.$677.00 -

Disgorged in January 2023, the NV Extra-Brut Grand Cru Le Terroir (2020 base) is following hard on the heels of its 2019-base counterpart. A little more reserved out of the gates, it unwinds to reveal notes of pear, citrus oil, white flowers and almond paste, followed by a medium to full-bodied, pillowy and precise palate that's fine-boned, bright and mineral.$782.00 -

Nurtured in the heart of Côte des Blancs, a premier region known for creating incredible Chardonnays, this opulent vintage bears an impressive reputation. This Grand Cru, fashioned from meticulously hand-harvested grapes, ideally illustrates Adrien Renoir's expertise. An exquisite champagne, the wine seduces with its lush pear, apple pastry and candied ginger flavours.
Crafted through the traditional "méthode champenoise," it ensures fine effervescence and delicate texture. A reposing maturation period of 3 years on lees rewards it with complexity and depth. Renoir's dedication to sustainable viticulture is also manifested in this superior quality Grande Cru.

Renoir's 2019 Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Les Montants is the only cuvée in the lineup crafted entirely from Chardonnay. The fruit for this wine comes from one of the family’s oldest parcels, part of which was planted in 1961 with massal selection. After just 40 centimeters of topsoil, the roots reach into the chalk. Disgorged in July 2023 with a dosage of one gram per liter, it reveals aromas of white flowers, green apple, fresh hazelnut and lemon zest. Full-bodied, generously structured and concentrated, it is underpinned by racy acidity and a chalky, tensile mid-palate, finishing with a long, citrus-inflected finale. The vineyard’s northwest exposure helps strike a delicate balance between generosity and freshness, especially in warm years like this.$331.00 -

Disgorged in June 2024 with a dosage of one gram per liter, Renoir's 2020 Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Les Montants, has turned out beautifully. Renoir recalls this as a particularly dry season, with no rain until August, which led to a loss of approximately 15% of the fruit due to drought. Flamboyant and expressive, it soars from the glass with a bouquet of pear, pastries, peach and dried white flowers. On the palate, it is ample and textural, boasting a more powerful presence than the 2019 rendition. Full-bodied and concentrated, it is enveloping and muscular, with a rich, layered core of fruit and a chalky extract that imparts a sensation of freshness. This rendition is more fruit-forward and charming and will offer a broad enjoyment window.$614.00 -

Issuing from a parcel of massal selection Pinot Meunier planted in 1962 on limestone soil, Renoir's 2019 Blanc de Noirs Grand Cru Les Vignes Goisses is the only cuvée crafted entirely from Pinot Meunier, a variety that makes up just 3% of the estate's plantings. Disgorged in November 2023 with a dosage of 0.8 grams per liter, it soars from the glass with aromas of red apple, orange zest and spices mingling with aromatic bitters. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, with a charming core of fruit, chalky structuring extract and a saline finish.$676.00 -

Wiry and saline, the NV (2021) Extra Brut Complantée Grand Cru is classic Agrapart all the way. As a reminder, the Complantée is a blend of Pinot Noir, Meunier, Pinot Blanc, Arbane, Petit Meslier and Chardonnay. Readers who like vibrant, floral Champagnes will adore this. Tense and sculpted to the core , the Complantée is so expressive in this tasting. Citrus oil, chalk, mint, white pepper and crushed rocks bristle with energy. Dosage is 3 grams per liter. Disgorged: June 2025; multiple disgorgements throughout the year.$592.00 -
Vinous (95)
The NV (2014) Blanc de Blancs Experience is another very beautiful and expressive Champagne from Agrapart. Silky and nuanced, the Experience is quite vinous, with a very subtle mousse and tons of freshness. Experience is a blend of fruit from Les Robards and Les Bionnes. Pascal Agrapart added unfermented 2015 juice to a base of 2014 wine for the secondary fermentation, an approach that yields a Champagne that is both unique and compelling. Non-dosé. Disgorged: July 2018.$1,650.00 -
Vinous (95)
The NV (2015) Brut Nature Exp. '15 is another highly intriguing release. The Exp. is a 2015 wine, all Chardonnay, from the Robards and Bionnes lieux-dits in Avize. Pascal Agrapart uses unfermented juice from the following harvest, in this case 2016 (rather than sugar), to create the secondary fermentation in bottle, also known as prise de mousse, in which still wine becomes Champagne. The Exp. '15 is done entirely without sulfur and is bottled with no dosage. It is one of the most unique and distinctive wines in Champagne. Disgorged: April, 2020.$1,670.00 -

The NV Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Terroirs Grand Cru is unusual in that it is a blend of three vintages (2021, 2020 and 2019) instead of the more typical two, because of very low yields in 2021. There's real density and power here, but not at the expense of Côtes des Blancs citrus, floral and mineral character. As always, the Terroirs is a blend of parcels in Avize, Oger, Cramant and Oiry, all Grand Crus. The blend is 20% 2021 and 80% split between 2020 and 2019. Dosage is 3 grams per liter. Disgorged: March 2025; multiple disgorgements throughout the year.$368.00 -

This has an exceptionally detailed nose with fresh crushed stones, all shades of hazelnut, lemon blossom and grapefruit, as well as dried flowers. The palate has exceptionally fresh and piercing acidity with very fresh and frisky lemons, white nectarines and grapefruit, as well as an attractive, fresh and zesty finish. So intense. Drink or hold.$1,120.00 -

The 2014 Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru L’Avizoise, from old vines in the Les Robards and Voie d'Epernay lieux-dits, is a wonderfully complex wine. Rich, ample and mineral but also intensely perfumed, the Avizoise has so much going on. Vinification in oak and aging on the cork seems to really bring out soft contours to match the wine's sculpted, translucent feel. This is an especially refined, aromatic expression of Avize, and also one of the most sublime, elegant wines I have tasted from Pascal Agrapart. Dosage is 3 grams per liter. Disgorged: April, 2020.$1,145.00 -
Vinous (93)
The 2015 Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs L’Avizoise Grand Cru stands out in this range for its breadth and power. Lemon peel, savory herbs, dried flowers, grapefruit and mint lend a bit of upper register and aromatic presence. Slight vegetal notes, a characteristic of any 2015s, lurk beneath, while texturally the Avizoise is on the lighter side. For those reasons, I would not push my luck on aging. Dosage is 3 grams per liter. Disgorged: May, 2021.$1,470.00 -

The 2016 Extra-Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Avizoise derives from lieux-dits Les Robarts and Les Gros Yeux in Avize, two sites that are characterized by deeper clays than those in the parcels that inform Minéral. Unwinding in the glass with aromas of apple blossom, citrus zest, confit orange, freshly baked bread and warm biscuits, it's full-bodied, satiny and layered, with terrific concentration, racy acids and a long, penetrating finish. This concentrated, vinous, chiseled Champagne is a remarkable wine!$1,175.00 -
Wine Advocate (95)
Aged entirely in 600-liter barrels and, for the first time in the history of this cuvée, released without dosage, the 2018 Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Avizoise is nevertheless the most demonstrative vintage wine in Agrapart’s cellar. Crafted from two plots in Avize (Les Robarts and Les Gros Yeux), located just 30 meters from each other and defined by deep, clay-limestone soils, it’s more giving and demonstrative compared to Minéral. Opening in the glass to reveal scents of walnut, pastries and ripe orchard fruit, it is full-bodied, ample and layered with excellent concentration, bright acidity and a long, sapid finish. Les Gros Yeux is one of the plots Agrapart farms with horse, to avoid soil compaction. With Ambroise now in charge of this historic domaine, style remains the same, but he undeniably refines the work.$1,290.00 -

The NV (2022) Brut 7 Crus is such a fabulous introduction to this range. In this release, the 7 Crus is especially generous, which makes it all the more appealing in the near term. Citrus confit, marzipan, dried flowers, mint and crushed rocks build in the glass, finishing with notable substance and power. This release, based on 2022, is one of the best recent 7 Crus I can remember tasting. A standout. Dosage is 4 grams per liter. Disgorged: June 2025; multiple disgorgements throughout the year.$316.00 -
(3x150cl) 2011Vinous (91)
The 2011 Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Minéral Grand Cru is a very pretty wine, even if it is a touch light in this vintage. A wine of modest structure and complexity relative to the norm here, the Minéral does avoid the vegetal qualities and other strident notes of other 2011s. There is good energy and vibrancy to the wine, if not quite the layers of flavor that are signatures of the very best editions. The Minéral emerges from Les Champboutons in Avize and Les Bionnes in Cramant, both of which are high in limestone and planted with vines that are more than 40 years old. This release is equal parts 2014 ad 2013 vintages. Disgorged: May 2017. Dosage is 5 grams per liter.$1,095.00 -

Disgorged in April 2019 with three grams per liter dosage, the 2012 Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Extra Brut Minéral is showing brilliantly, bursting from the glass with aromas of ripe citrus fruit, warm bread, green apples and crushed chalk. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, chiseled and incisive, with a tensile, chalky core that displays considerable concentration and structuring dry extract, as well as a racy spine of acidity. This comes warmly recommended.$1,015.00
