Vinous - Antonio Galloni (93)The 2020 La Sirene de Giscours is a gorgeous second wine. Bright and deep, with tons of drive the 2020 is seriously impressive. Dark cherry, dried herbs, menthol, licorice and dark spice build effortlessly, driven by bright acids and tons of nervous energy. The balance here is simply impeccable.

Vinous - Neal Martin (91-93)The 2020 La Tour de Mons was picked from 17 September to 1 October and aged in 25% new oak. It has a perfumed nose with a mixture of red and black fruit, cedar and pressed iris flower, not intense but nicely delineated. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe and pliant tannins, well judged acidity, harmonious with very impressive oak integration towards the finish. This is a delightful Margaux that should drink well for 15-20 years. One to look out for.

Jeb Dunnuck (94-96)Emerging from the team at Château Le Gay, the 2020 Château La Violette is just a stunningly elegant, medium to full-bodied Pomerol that’s as pure as they come, offering gorgeous notes of red, blue, and black fruits, violets, iron, and chalky minerality. It’s relatively forward and supple on the palate, with moderate acidity, but the balance is spot on, it has silky tannins, and it just sings on the finish. This thrilling Pomerol is going to benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age and cruise for two decades.
